To ensure smooth conduct of ensuing prestigious Bhaderwah Tourism cum cultural festival, the Deputy Commissioner Doda Bhupinder Kumar emphasized on putting in all arrangements in place well before time.Chairing a review meeting here today, the Deputy Commissioner asserted on synergy among different departments and agencies. He took stock of the preparations being made for the festival and directed the district officers to gear up and put in their best for the success of the event.Saying that proper road connectivity is the priority as the festival would attract visitors throughout the country, Bhupinder Kumar reviewed the arrangements regarding sanitation, cleanliness, regular power and water supply, security, illumination and others. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the tourists do not face any inconvenience with regard to basic amenities.
He asked the PDD authorities to revisit the power schedule cut ,as with the onset of winters in Bhaderwah people are demanding un interrupted power supply after 7 o’clock. Barricading on the venue and supply of drinking water will be taken care off by XEn PHE .Information department will ensure the publicity of the programme in print and electronic media.For sitting arrangements CPO Doda was directed to constitute a team of officers headed by SDM Bhaderwah to monitor the same besides DFO Bhaderwah was instructed to supply the scants of wood for the preparation of stage.Accommodation, reception facility, installation of stalls by different departments, security, medical facilities at the venue, transportation , fire services ,issuance of security passes among others were also deliberated in the meeting and necessary instructions were conveyed to make this festival a success.
