National Secular Forum (NSF), University Unit today organized seminar on topic “Focus on Human Rights sensitivities need of the hour” at Jammu University. Dr. KP Sharma Social activist  was the chief guest while Dr. Vikas Sharma, was the main speaker, and Sukhdev Singh President NSF, presided over the function.Speaking on the Dr. KP Sharma appreciated the efforts of NSF members to come forwarded and organized these function. He in the seminar thrower light on the advancement of science and technology. He mentioned that human rights too have progressed in sensitivities and took turn towards more and more reformation in the interaction of the societies to avert any reaction and clashes among the members of the society. Further he emphasized that the latest trend and changes in modus operandi for committing crimes has further sensitize for better protection for humans as the multiplicity of laws to meet the challenges of criminalist tendencies evolved new stratum for mushrooming crimes in the society.

Dr.Vikas Sharma, said that  This seminar was organized as per Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) which is a  declaration adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948 at Palais de Chaillot, Paris. In 1966 the General Assembly adopted the two detailed Covenants, which complete the International Bill of Human Rights; and in 1976, after the Covenants had been ratified by a sufficient number of inpidual nations, the Bill took on the force of international law. The seminar turned out to be very effective as the violation of human rights is at its peak. Dr.Vikas suggested that in the changing mode of society in all walks of life and freeing the society from the onslaughts of provocative, fanatic conflagration, one is required to have more organized and well administered to keep in check frequent assault on human rights.Sukhdev Singh President NSF mentioned that they will continuously strive for such kind of seminars which will make every one aware of his/her responsibility so that there will be an end to such menace.Qayoom Malik was deliver the welcome address, Vikram Madhyal, was delivering the vote of thanks.
