India, Pakistan border forces' talks to end on Saturday

The four-day director general level talks between India's BSF and the Pakistan Rangers would end on Saturday with an agreement to maintain peace on border. The talks took place amid ceasefire violation on the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.The talks between the chiefs of the two border forces were held under cordial and congenial atmosphere and the deliberations end on Saturday by signing an accord.Consensus was reached on various issues, including no firing along the border to save lives of innocent civilians.

Sources said that Border Security Force (BSF) chief D.K. Pathak and the delegation led by Pakistan Rangers chief Maj. Gen. Umar Farooq Burki have agreed to remain in touch over mobile phone, e-mail and fax in order to avoid ceasefire violations and escalation of tension on the border.officials said that the delegation of Pakistan Rangers will leave India by Saturday afternoon."Both the border forces chief would sign an accord by 11 a.m. today (Saturday) after that the delegation of Pakistan Rangers would leave," said an official.The director general level talks between both the border forces began on September 9.Pathak told reporters on Friday that the talks had been very cordial on the first day.
