Haryana Excise and Taxation Minister Capt. Abhimanyu said that The introduction of the facility of online  ‘C’ Forms has evoked a huge response. It has come as a boon for the traders and consumers of the state. It has helped a great deal in bringing in transparency and   accountability in the system thereby checking any possible delay & corruption in the issuance of ‘C’ Forms.Captain Abhimanyu said that the Department had received 1,63,362 requests for online ‘C’ Forms between June 1, 2015 and September 4, 2015, of which 1,26,911 had been approved and only 5,862, which account for 3.6% of the total number of requests, were pending.Capt. Abhimanyu said that the Department .had launched the facility of online issuance of ‘C’ Forms for registered dealers in the State on June 1, 2015. Through this facility, which was inaugurated by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, dealers can apply for ‘C’ Forms online at any time and from anywhere, and would receive these on their registered e-mail, thus eschewing the need to visit the office of the Department.

The assessing authority is given a maximum of five working days for the disposal of ‘C’ Form requests.Dealer Manuals have been made available on the Department’s official website for the guidance and help of the dealers. Training of all the stakeholders was done across Haryana for the smooth implementation of this facility. A helpline has also been established for attending the grievances related to ‘C’ Forms, and about 3,835 queries and grievances have been addressed till date. The minister added that our government is committed to ensure speedier and transparent services to all concerned and we are sure that once our entire VAT & Excise Department work is made online, it will bring in lot of trust & confidence of the dealers in the government also resulting in increased revenue for the State. The Minister called upon the dealers to cooperate more and more in the computerization process as ultimately they are  the greatest beneficiaries of the transparency in governance.
