Diljit Dosanjh who has been collaborating with Imtiaz Ali and AR Rahman for the biopic of Amar Singh Chamkila has been making headlines regarding the same film only. As we saw many pictures and videos from the shoot surfacing all over the internet and now it has been noted that the filming has been completed.
But what grabbed our attention is that the upcoming film based on the biopic of Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila might release on the OTT platform. Yes, from the recent viral reports, it has been recognised that Imtiaz Ali’s directorial will stream on Netflix rather than the theatrical release. Not only this, but reports also suggest that the film was originally made for Netflix release.

The director, who is renowned for portraying complex and tumultuous relationships in movies like Rockstar, Tamasha, and Jab Harry Met Sejal, has been approved by Chamkila's family to adapt his life story for the big screen.
The biography of Chamkila is an amalgamation of reality and fiction, and centers on his true love, contentious life, and horrific assassination, which is still an open case. Prominent artists like Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra have been showcasing and performing over a dozen songs for the movie, which has also been hailed as a musical spectacle.
