The romantic drama ‘Shaakuntalam’ is an upcoming fantasy film from the south directed by Gunasekhar. The film was decided to hit the cinema screens on 17 February 2023. Today the makers of the film have delayed the scheduled date again and have announced the new release date.
The movie ‘Shakuntalam’ is announced to be released on 14 April 2023 now in pan India as announced by the team makers of the film. No official reasons have been stated for this delay again as of now. The reason stated before was that the team wanted to release the film in 3D. The team took to their Twitter handle ‘Sri Venkateswara Creations’ earlier and shared the news of the postponement saying, “We regret to inform our beloved audience that we would not be able to release Shakuntalam this 17th of February. We would be announcing the release date soon.”

Shaakuntalam is a mythological film based on the love story of Shakuntala (daughter of Menaka and Rishi Vishwamitra) and King Dushyantha. The movie stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Dev Mohan, and Aditi Balan in lead roles.
