Kanpur Coaching Centre Catches Fire: 20 Students Trapped Inside

An engineering coaching centre, which is in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur city where 20 students are still trapped inside. A fire brigade team has been reached in an emergency. 

News has been coming from UP's Kanpur, where a coaching centre caught fire. It has been reported that students from nearby places came for their engineering-related coaching. This incident happened in the morning session on Thursday. After the information of the fire in the coaching centre, vehicles from the fire brigade reached the spot. The accident happened at the Global Academy Coaching Centre. This coaching centre was running at the Sachan intersection of Barra in the city.

If reports are to be believed, the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the godown of bike accessories in the basement of a two-story building located in Saket Nagar. As soon as the flames and smoke came out, people started screaming. 14 students studying in the coaching centre on the second floor got trapped. Five fire tenders arrived and the personnel took everyone out safely by putting up ladders. The fire was brought under control after about one and a half hours of effort.

It is being said that preparation for engineering-related examinations is being done in coaching. Students from nearby areas used to come here to study. This coach is located in a congested area of ​​the city. A large number of people gathered to hear the news of the fire. The administration team has reached the spot.

Efforts are on to evacuate the students safely. However, so far, no casualties have been reported in the incident. As per Kanpur Police Commissioner BP Jogdand, after the fire, the crowd gathered on the road outside the coaching.

Coaching teachers and administration are still refusing to say anything. This coaching was being run in a three-storey building. The offices of many private organisations were also run in this building. A plume of smoke was seen rising in the sky due to the fire. DCP Pramod Kumar said that 20 children have been taken out. More than half a dozen fire tenders are engaged in dousing the fire at the spot.
