Taking to Twitter, Ranjit Bawa has voiced his anger toward the movie. He says ‘Good Luck Jerry’ once again showing Punjab as a state of drug addicts. While tagging the CM of Punjab in the tweet, the actor also asked if Punjab would only be featured as a drug state. He used hashtags- #shame #target #state #Bollywood. His tweet reads, “#Goodluckjeery movie vich Ek vaar fir Panjab nu Chiitta (Nasha) wala dikhaya gya panjab Nu bus hun bollywood movies vich drug state hi dekhaoge ? #shame #target #state #bollywood @CMOPb #siddharthsen

But now after the tweet went viral, it does not go positive with some of the Twitter users. Yes, you read that right. At one place where Mitti Da Bawa is showcasing and supporting Punjab's culture, people are criticising and mocking him for the same. While retweeting they write that why he supported Udta Punjab or the central issue is in Punjab that's why ity also highlights when the issue of drugs came out.

Here are some tweets against Ranjit Bawa:

I’m a huge fan of yours @bawaranjit. However, you should have also spoken up back in 2016 when this Bollywood propaganda against Punjab started. Instead, you were applauding the team. pic.twitter.com/7PP0HdqmBS

Earlier, too, he landed himself in controversy. When the singer released the song ‘Pehchan’ which was written by Jaskaran Riarr and the song's music was written and composed by Yeah Proof. During that time, the song has drawn a lot of public furies, primarily from feminine quarters. All of this dispute is the result of a single phrase. In the song, Ranjit Bawa continues, "Lipstick Dass Dindi Soch Teevi Di," which hasn't gone over well with a lot of the audience. The critics accuse the artists of "judging women by the colour of their lipsticks."
