Major, a biographical film based on the life of 26/11 martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, is all set to be released in theatres on June 3rd. Adivi Sesh, a South actor who makes his Bollywood debut in the bilingual film shot concurrently in Telugu and Hindi, plays the battle hero.

Let’s talk about the film in detail. Major is a thrilling and engrossing story that inspires patriotism without becoming super patriotic. The film has all the elements that are love, drama, comedy, and not to forget seriousness. Like Shershaah, the film is based on the life of Sandeep, that is, from childhood to his last breath, but there are some unique features in the film.

The film begins with the emotions and jinks of who Sandeep is, what he does, where he stays, and more about his whereabouts. You will not only watch the film but also feel connected and feel the same. Sashi Kiran Tikka and Adivi Sesh opt for an emotional coming-of-age story rather than a cliched jingoistic one. Then, slowly, the film jumps to how he joins the army, and in parallel to the story, you will also witness his personal life.

Furthermore, there will be more action scenes in the film, and like many stories, it does not end on a sad note. It has also been shown how the TV media became one of the worst enemies behind this heinous incident. The action sequence and the sound of guns will give you goosebumps. The planning, plotting, and execution make the film more interesting. It will stick your eyes to the screens, and before leaving the theatre, your eyes will be filled with tears. All the credit goes to Adivi Sesh. His commendable performance makes the film worth watching.

Adivi lived the life of Sandeep for 2 hours and 30 minutes. From overlooking his Jawani to becoming a Jawan in the Army, he gives inspiration to a lot of people. Adivi delivers justice to his performance and the power he gained from the uniform of the army. He looks almost like Sandeep, and if anyone hasn't seen the picture of Sandeep, he/she can surely look after Sandeep. Adivi has offered life to the character.

Furthermore, all the supporting actors have done their jobs perfectly and added a little entertainment to the film. Sandeep’s love story with Isha, played by Saiee Manjrekar, is a flawless twist in the film. Then Prakash Raj and Revathi, who played the roles of Sandeep’s father (K. Unnikrishnan) and mother (Dhanalakshmi Unnikrishnan), add more sentiments to the story as the duo explains all the things in the movie.

It will definitely be considered a special film, and without Major’s name, the Bollywood industry will be incomplete. Our team gives the film 4 stars and recommends you book your ticket and watch the film in nearby theatres. The direction, which is not only biographical but also entertains the audience to its fullest, adds another star to the film.  Powerful writing and dialogue give another star, and then, not to forget, the climax, which we will not obviously reveal. The 10 to 15-second climax makes you wait till the end. Last but not least, don’t miss the chance to watch the extraordinary film in theatres.
