The Pakistan army on Thursday again violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control (LoC), firing on at Indian positions in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, a defence official said.Earlier on Thursday, Pakistani troops had opened unprovoked fire on Indian positions in Poonch and Jammu districts."Pakistan army fired at our positions on the LoC in Balakote sector of Rajouri district using 82mm, automatic weapons and small arms, defence spokesman, Col. Manish Mehta told IANS here.

"Pakistan firing started at 7.15 p.m. and is still continuing (as of 9 p.m.). Our troops retaliated effectively using same calibre weapons," he said.Pakistan army had violated ceasefire in Krishna Ghati and Bhimber Gali sectors in Poonch district and in Pallanwala sector of Jammu district."Pakistan firing at these places started at 4.15 a.m. and lasted till 5.10 a.m. Our troops retaliated," Col. Mehta had said earlier."They also fired at our positions in Bhimber Gali from 12.30 a.m. to 1.30 a.m. and in Krishna Ghati sector from 8 p.m. to 8.15 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday)," he added.
