Vigilance Bureau late last evening nabbed a constable red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.5000.Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that constable Gurmail Singh posted at Chowki Ranike, Police Station sadar Dhuri, District Sangrur was nabbed on the complaint of Karamjit Singh of village Batuha , District Sangrur. The complainant has narrated that he has lodged a complaint against another person and in that case Constable Gurmail Singh was deputed as inquiry officer. He alleged that constable was demanding a bribe of Rs. 5000 to submit inquiry report in his favour.Acting on the tip off provided by the complainant a trap was laid and the Constable Gurmail Singh was nabbed red handed while accepting the bribe.
