Chief Minister inaugurates International Shri Renuka Ji Mela

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh inaugurated the famous International Shri Renuka Ji Mela by lighting a lamp at Renu Manch near Renuka lake yesterday evening. He also released a souvenir and a calendar of the year 2014 brought-out by Shri Renuka Ji Mela Committee on the occasion.Virbhadra Singh said that Shri Renuka Ji was one of the oldest religious fair being organized since many centauries.  It was said that Lord Parshuram visits Shri Renuka Ji every year on ‘Devprobodhani Akadashi’ and scores of devotees throng  Shri Renuka Ji to pay their obeisance on this auspicious occasion.  He lauded the organizing Committee headed by Chief Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vinay Kumar and Deputy Commissioner-cum-Vice Chairman Shri Vikas Labroo and his team for organizing it in a big way.He said that he would remain indebted to the people of Himachal Pradesh who had given him lot of affection and support since more than five decades due to which he had got the opportunity to become Chief Minister for sixth time.  He said that though he had been Union Minister for many times and handled important portfolio in the Centre Government but he liked the most to serve the people of State.    

Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh came into existence on 15th April, 1948 due to efforts of former Chief Minister Dr. Y.S. Parmar and  former Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and became a full-fledged State on 25th January, 1971 when former Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi made announcement to this regard at the Ridge Shimla during heavy snowfall. He said that the State had made rapid progress under all sectors due to far-sighted vision and efforts of Congress led Governments.He said that today every house has electricity connection and almost all have potable water and other facilities. He said that there was more than 32,000 kms roads in the State and efforts were made to improve the electricity quality. He said that revolutionary change has been witnessed in education sector and many schools, colleges, IIT, Central University and two Medical Colleges were opened by the Congress Government in the State.Shri Virbhadra Singh made bountiful of announcements on the occasion which includes  : -

In Renuka Constituency :

Chief Minister announced the filling of all requisite sanctioned staff as per norms of SDM office Sangrah and other key posts of other offices such as Elecricity, I&PH, Veterinary etc..  He announced construction of Science Lab for Government Senior Secondary School  (GSSS) Bechar Ka Bag, Construction of Bus Stand at Dadahu.He also announced the upgradation of High Schools Deva Manal, Bhatgarh and Chachheti to Senior Secondary Schools, Middle Schools Khoor, Tali Chandrauna, Sainj and Kando Kansar to High Schools and opening of new Primary Schools at Panian Mandoli in Gram Panchayat Panjhal, Thappal in Gram Panchayat Dagera, Teel  Dhar in Gram Panchayat Khoor Dravil, Basali in Gram Panchayat Lana Cheta and Mundia Kumanu in Gram Panchayat Sainj. He said that Roads from Deva Mandnal to Sai Ghati and Punner Dhar to Lana Pallar would also be constructed. He said that Cooperative Bank Branch would be opened near Dhartidhar. 

In Paonta Constituency :

Shri Virbhadra Singh announced construction of Bus Stand at Paonta Sahib, Primary Health Centre at Bhangani, Construction of bridge over Bata river at village Kirratpur on Kundion Kirratpur-Bhagwanpur road, construction of road from NH-72 to Gadria Basti Surajpur, construction of Rudana Thera Jijla link road and construction of road from NH 73A to Bangala Basti.He Announced upgradation of High School Manpur Deora to Senior Secondary School, Middle Schools Kaltha  and Gojjar to High Schools, Primary Schools Bherewala and Bhatanwali to Middle Schools and opening of new Primary School at Bhaitwad. 

In Pachhad Constituency :

Chief Minister announced the opening of new Sub-Tehsil Pajhota at Nauri and Narag in Rajgarh Tehsil besides construction of new Bus stand at Rajgarh.He announced upgradation of High Schools Pabiana, Kanger Dharyar and Dahan to Senior Secondary Schools, Middle Schools Kotla Panjala, Dharoti, Malgan, Thaina Basutri and Thorniwal to High Schools, Primary Schools Shillanji, Kufer-Dhar, Janot and Bharenji to Middle Schools and opening of new Primary Schools at Dhar Gram Panchayat Kotla Bangi, Chhan-Basech in Gram Panchayat Nehar-Pab and Hiduta in Gram Panchayat Neri-Kotli. 

In Shillai Constituency :

Chief Minister announced upgradation of High Schools Kota Pab, Sharli and Ronhat to Senior Secondary Schools, Primary School Bhatiuri to Middle School. He said that  Link roads to Bhag-Habra, Harlog and bridge at Bindla khud would be constructed. He announced lift irrigation scheme at Ajroli and  said that efforts would be made to open Co-operative Bank branch at Jakhana.

In Nahan Constituency :

Shri Virbhadra Singh announced upgradation of High School Palhori to Senior Secondary School, Middle Schools Kyari, Jamli, Dagera and Jangla Bhood to High Schools, Primary Schools Sher Badon and Kotri to Middle Schools.  He also announced opening of new Gas Agency at Majra and early completion of new water supply scheme from Renuka to Nahan. Deputy Chairman State Planning Board Shri G.R. Musafir, MLA Shri Kernesh Jung, Chairman HIMFED Shri Ajay Bahadur, former MLA Shri Kush Parmar also spoke on the occasion and demanded various schemes for their area.Chief Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vinay Kumar and Chairman Renuka Vikas Development Board welcomed the Chief Minister and  apprised him about the various problems and development needs of his constituency. Deputy Commissioner -cum- Chairman Renukaji Mela Committee Shri Vikas Labroo presented the vote of thanks. Chairperson HP State Social Welfare Board Smt. Satya Parmar,  President District Congress Committee Shri Ajay Solanki, President Block Congress Renuka Shri Tapender Chauhan,  Advisor to Chief Minister Shri T.G. Negi, SP Sirmour Smt. Sumedha Dwivedi, Senior officers and other prominent persons were present on the occasion.
