In connection with ensuing Independence day 2015, a high level meeting of officers was held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon. A meeting discussed threadbare various issues for smooth conduct of Independence Day.The meeting was informed that main function would be held at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar where chief guest will unfurl the tricolour and take salute of the march past. Contingents of JKP, JKAP, IRP, Home Guard, NCC, FPF, BSF, Army and school children of various educational institutions will participate in the march past on the  occasion.The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir stressed upon the officers to keep coordination in order to make the function successful and directed the concerned authorities for ensuring all arrangements well in advance besides cleanliness in and around the Bakshi Stadium. The PDD was also asked to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity. He also directed PHE department to make arrangements for drinking water supply.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir also held a video conference with all Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir province and discussed various issued regarding ensuing Independence Day.Among others, the meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, DG Sports, DIG Police Kashmir DIG Traffic, SSP Traffic, SSP Security, Commissioner SMC, Director H&P, General Manager SRTC, RTO Kashmir, General Manager Government Press, Director Fire and Emergency Services, Joint Director Information, Joint Director Education, besides officers of various departments.
