Wild Life employees Wednesday filed a complaint before the Commissioner Vigilance Organziation against Assistant Wild Life Warden Wet Lands for his alleged ‘corrupt’ practices in the department. The State President Wild Life Association Tariq Ahmed Sofi told CNS that whatever facts they have presented before the State Vigilance Organization are authenticated.

Confirming that the organization has received a complaint against Assistant Warden Imtiyaz Ahmed Lone in which the employees have leveled serious corruption charges against him. There are seven serious charges against the officer. The employees have alleged that the said officer has been misappropriating the funds through his illiterate aide at Hokkersar Wet Land. Besides, the employees have alleged that encroachment at Hajgam Rakh is being carried under his patronage and people have constructed houses under his nose.”

The officer in question does not allow others especially wet land trained employees to work in wet lands for simple reason to mint money through illegal means. A JCB has been purchased before ten years by the accused officer but till date the JCB was not brought to the Division because the work of the wetland is done manually and the process is the source of embezzlement. Construction of Hokarsar Reserve and Mirgund Reserve roads have been allowed to without any NOC and further the material of two out of four buildings allotted to Wetland Division have been sold secretly by the accused Warden,” the application duly submitted by the Wild Life employees before the Vigilance Organization reads.
