JK making tangible progress in IT infrastructure: Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari

Minister for Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari has said that significant progress in the field of core IT infrastructure has been made, adding that State Data Centre is fully functional. He said 5 State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) services have already been launched and touched the mandated number (1109) of CSCs for J&K. He said “we are also working towards finalizing the State Wide Area Network (SWAN)”.The Minister was speaking at a function organized by the Information technology Department for Open Interaction and Discussion with eminent people, technocrats, and domain experts from the Information Technology Industry in J&K at SKICC today.

Minister of State for Information Technology & Finance, Mr. Pawan Kumar Gupta, Secretary Information Technology, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports Mr. Hirdesh Kumar, Director Technical Education, Mr. Showkat Ahmad Zargar, Chief executive Officer, e-governance agency (JaKeGA), Information Technology Department, Mr. Mohammad Akbar Wani and a good number of eminent people, technocrats, domain experts from the Information Technology Industry in J&K were also present on the occasion.Molvi Ansari said that the government is working towards creating a Information Technology Culture in the state in a big way. He said “we are also committed to the 9 pillars of digital India including Broadband Highways, Universal access to mobile connectivity, Public Internet Access Programme, E-governance-Reforming government, E-Kranti: Electronic delivery of services, Information for all, Electronics manufacturing, IT for Jobs and Early Harvest Programmes”.Minister of State for IT Mr. Gupta also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of IT in providing various citizen-centric services.Earlier, Secretary IT presented welcome address and briefed about the program and Chief Executive Officer, e-Governance Agency (JaKeGA), IT department presented the vote of thanks.
