Punjab government and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee’s (SGPC) collaborative initiative Dharmik Darshan Yatra is creating religious awakening in people from different sections of society and has especially helped the youngsters to associate themselves with the glorious Sikh history. The education minister Punjab Dr Daljeet Singh Cheema said this while addressing thousands of devotees while giving a warm send off to the yatra from Government Senior Secondary School at village Jhajj. He thanked the SGPC, civil and police administration of different districts for making arrangements for this holy yatra. He also thanked the media for taking this yatra to every household through their newspapers, magazines and channels.

The Jathedar Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Singh Sahin Giani Mal Singh performed the ardas after which the holy relics of Guru Sahibans were sent off to next destination Kiratpur Sahib. The Panj Piaras rose jaikara of Bole So Nihal. SGPC member Amarjit Singh Chawla, Ajmet Singh Khera, SSP Varinderpla Singh, SAD district president Mohan Singh Dhahe, Jathedar Harnek Singh Thoda, Tilak Raj, Mohan Singh Doomewal, Karam Singh Karma, Gulzari Lal Jhajj sarpanch, Darbara Singh Bala, Satnam Singh Jhajj, Santokh Singh Jhajj, Sucha Singh Bains circle president, DSO Harbir Singh Atwal and a large number of other devotees were present. Jathedar Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Mal Singh honored Panj Piaras with siropas. A Punjab police contingent gave salutation to the yatra.

The Dharmik Darshan Yatra passed through parts of Doomewal, Manku Majra, Sameerowal, Bariwal, Singhpur, Gopalpur and reached Nurpur Bedi where a large number of devotees welcomed it amidst chanting of the holy Gurbani. People paid obeisance to Sri Guru Granth Sahib and rare relics of Guru Hargobind Sahib, Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib and Guru Gobind Singh Ji.Earlier a large number of elderly, women, children and youngsters welcomed the yatra at different places. The snagat stood on both the sides of road showering flowers in yatra. Langar and chhabeel were held at different places. A large number of motorcycle borne youngsters accompanied the yatra.Later the yatra passed from parts of Bunga Sahib and will reach Sri Kiratpur Sahib today. On June 18, the yatra will leave for Sri Anandpur Sahib.
