Former Union Minister Virbadhra Singh today claimed he had resigned from the Cabinet on high moral grounds and was not forced by the party high command after being charged in a graft case by special court of Shimla on June 25, 2012.Singh, appointed Chairman of State Election Campaign Committee by the AICC, was here to welcome Committee's general Secretary Rahul Gandhi.Singh, who was recently implicated in the audio CD case after the court framed the charges against him, addressed press conference in Bhutti at Shamsi near Kulu. Singh maintained that the CD was a copy paste job and was fake.Singh added that he resigned from Ministerial berth on his own accord and was not forced by the high command to do so. He sarcastically mentioned that no matter whatever the evil doer thinks or does, only the wishes of God are acted upon.Regarding the position of the Congress Party in the forthcoming assembly polls, he said rather than factionalism in the BJP, it was the strength of the Party that would lead it to victory in the forthcoming elections.Singh said that the re-entry of the party rebellions in this district was under consideration. It was learnt that Singh had a meeting with Dharm Vir Dhami, a rebel who fought the last Assembly elections against the Congress candidate on BSP ticket
