Ram Vilas Paswan asks CWC to gear up for Make in India program

Ram Vilas Paswan, Minister of consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has asked the Central warehousing Corporation (CWC) to gear up to participate in Make in India program. He said that the program has created new opportunities for CWC, hence it should now take up logistic management in a big way besides warehousing activities. The Minster was addressing the foundation day celebrations of the CWC here today. Assuring all government support to CWC, the Minster said the organization should identify new ventures and setup more warehousing facilities at airports, ports and business hubs. He said that improving the efficiency of its existing ventures should also be given paramount importance by CWC. Shri Paswan asked the management of CWC to adopt best management practices to encourage its employees for better performance and reward them suitably for this purpose. On the occasion the Minster also presented awards to CWC units for outstanding performance in their respective regions.
