Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Tuesday called on union minister Uma Bharati, and sought the central government's co-operation in making his state drought-free."Naidu sought the central government's co-operation in making Andhra Pradesh a drought-free state in the years to come," a statement from the water resources ministry said.It added that Naidu raised various issues related to his state and requested for the early constitution of the Polavaram Development Authority.

Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Uma Bharati asked Naidu to suggest one site from his state to be included in the three water conservation pilot projects to be taken up by the water resources ministry.The two other sites selected for this purpose are Bolangir-Kalahandi region in Odisha and Bundelkhand.Naidu assured Bharati of his state's full co-operation in the various projects taken up by the ministry.Naidu was accompanied by Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati.
