Around 30 workers of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) National Conference (NC) including Mohd Shafi Raina, Mohd SkinderRaina, Ghulam Mohd, Farooq Ahmed Wani, Lassa Raina, Manssor Ahmed, Mohd Iqbal, Mohd Yaseen, Ashiq Hussain, Ghulam Rasool, and others joined the Indian National Congress (INC) at impressive function here on Monday in presence of Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori at Kuchal and Sarthal, district Kishtwar.Describing there joining Congress as returning home, PDP, BJP, NC workers reposed faith in the policy, programme of Congress the vision and ability of its leadership. They said the visionary leadership of dynamic leader G M Saroori has given new dimension to the policy of Congress to achieve the goal of Naya and Khushal Chenab Valley (Erstwhile Doda district) and political stability and prosperity in the region.Welcoming the new entrants into party fold Saroori expressed hope that newly joined worker would work with enthusiasm and asked them to strengthen the party beside work for the betterment of Kuchal, Sarthal and district Kishtwar. "The results of recently-held bypolls in Uttarakhand shows that falsehood spread by BJP is getting exposed and Congress will re-emerge victorious in the upcoming Assembly polls," Saroori said.

En-route to Kuchal and Sarthal, various deputations and inpiduals called on the MLA Saroori and apprised him about the problems being confronted to them. The locals projected various demands which include electricity for un-electrified villages, better drinking water facility, staff for schools, solar lights, up gradation of school, early payment of MGNREGA job card holders and early completion of Kuchal & other uncompleted roads. Responding to the demands Saroori issued on-the-spot directions to the officers accompanied to him, for attending to them on priority and their early redressal. Saroori said priority is also given to the health care, supply of safe drinking water and power supply to hamlets and villages uncovered till date so that the people living in these areas are provided with basic amenities. He directed Tehsil Supply Officer Chatroo for ensuring adequate supply of ration in Sigdi, Kuchal, Passarkote, Mugalmaidan, Chatroo, Chingam, Dadpeth, Tagood, Durbeel and other adjoining areas for the convenience of the people of the area.

During his visit, Saroori also took stock of various developmental works under execution in the Sarthal and Kuchal area. He directed the concerned executing agencies for judicious use of funds and time bound completion of these projects so that people will avail maximum.People of the area thank Mr. Saroori for improving socio-economic status of the people. They demanded for fulfillment of pending issues of the area on at an earliest. Prominent among those Ghulam Qadir Tappal, Abdul Rashid, Kalyan Din, Ch Lal Din, Gh Nabi Mir, Tariq Wani, Mohd Ibrahim Sheikh, Mohd Salim Ganie, Abdul Gani Malik, Mohd Aslam Saroori, Mohd Iqhlak Dev, Choudhary Baji, Choudhary Ibrahim, Ved Raj, Molvi Ali beside officers of various departments and people in large number were present on the occasion.
