Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep shock and grief over the sad demise of Malik Tariq, brother of senior party leader Arshid Hussain Malik, who was the party's candidate for the recently held parliamentary elections from Udhampur. Malik Tariq was seriously injured when he was hit by a fast moving troller on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Batote. Later, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.According to a statement issued to KNS, while expressing their deep shock and grief over the accident, party patron, Mufti Mohamamd Sayeed and President, Mehbooba Mufti, conveyed their sympathies with the bereaved family and Arshid Hussain Malik. The leaders prayed for everlasting peace of the departed soul.
