Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our present  Patshah.  These words were uttered by the General Secretary and Spokesperson of Shiromani Akali Dal Mr. Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad while expressing his reaction on the relief given to Shiromani Akali Dal from the allegations of indecency.

He said that in order to alienate the representative class of the Sikh community and Punjab's own political party Shiromani Akali Dal from the hearts of the Sikh community including Punjab, the Shiromani Akali Dal was attacked by the opposition political parties in a very inferior manner.  Unfounded accusations of insult were leveled and continued to be slandered.

Karnail Singh Peermohammad said that if Shiromani Akali Dal had any role in the above incidents then why the ruling Congress party could not take any action after repeated investigations and now it is clear in the investigation conducted by Bhagwant Mann government.

He said that Shiromani Akali Dal had no role in the incidents of indecency which was also revealed in the report submitted by the Punjab government to the Sikh leaders.  He said that now that he was acquitted of the charge of indecency, the faith of the Panth and Punjabis would be restored.

He appealed to the entire Panth Dardis that in the present political and social conditions, all parties should unite for the betterment of the Panth as per the instructions of Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib.  He said that political raiders from Delhi were running their own government in Punjab which could only be stopped by SAD.

SAD leaders Gurmukh Singh Sandhu, Dr. Karaj Singh Dharam Singh Wala, Buta Singh Bhullar and Sukhdev Singh Makhu were also present on the occasion.
