A closing ceremony of “International Nurses Week” held today at Aryans Institute of Nursing, Chandigarh. During this week, the Nursing students of Aryans participated in the rallies held in nearby three villages - Alampur, Nepra & Thuha. The students holding the placards, made the people aware about various health concerning issues like Cancer, HIV, TB etc and ways to reduce them. On last day, the students also took nursing oath to do their duties honestly without any discrimination.Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group speaking on the occasion said that “International Nurses Week” is an annual celebration to mark the contribution of nurses everywhere. This week encourages every Nursing student to take part in building more healthy communities and nations and to spread this message everywhere. 

Prof B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said that this is a day to celebrate how nursing students should cater their services without any cast and creed and raising awareness about the importance of healthy life. He added that this occasion is about making communities and inpiduals aware about the risk of unhealthy life style and how they can reduce their vulnerability.It is to be mentioned that The “International Week for Nurses” started in2003 with the approval by the American Nursing Association and International Council of Nursing. These Associations have this view that celebration of Nurses week will raise the standards of Profession.
