45 Days Specialized Dairy Training Program From May 26

In order to equip dairy farming with the latest technology, the Dairy Development Department, Punjab is organizing 45 days specialized training programs for farmers at different training centers of the state from May 26, 2014. It was disclosed by Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike, Minister for Animal Husbandry in a press brief here today. He said that the Punjab Government is committed to further boost the white revolution besides extending all support and cooperation to impetus dairy farming.

Mr. Ranike informed that training program would be commenced in the Dairy Training Centers of Bija, Chitamali, Gill, Abul Khurana and Verka. He said that the interview sessions for the selection of candidates will be held at Bija (Ludhiana), Gill (Moga), Verka (Amritsar) and Abul Khurana (Sri Muktsar Sahib) on May 19 from 10 am onwards.The Minister further said that 10th pass interested farmers between the age of 18 to 45 years and possessing own dairy farm of not less than five milch animals, may apply for the new training session. He said that candidates could get prospectus from all training centers and office of Deputy Director Dairy/Dairy Development Officer of the concerned district by paying Rs.100. He further said that the fee Rs.5,000 for General Category and Rs.4,000 for Scheduled Castes would have to be deposited immediately after the selection of the candidate. He said that hostel facility would also be provided to the candidates.

pulging other details, Mr. Inderjeet Singh, Director, Dairy Development said that experts from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animals Sciences University, Ludhiana, Dairy Research Organization, Karnal and Dairy Development Department, Punjab to impart education regarding breed improving, composition of milk products, balanced feed management and look after of milch animals. He said that during training related literature would also be provided free of cost.
