Arun Jaitely BJP-SAD Alliance candidate while addressing industrialists at Focal Point Amritsar outlined his vision for revival & growth of industry. He outlined the growing importance of competitiveness in terms of product quality and price by industry in this globalizing world and the facilitating role of government in making industry competitive through lower interest rates, better physical infrastructure, lower power and other tariffs.
He indicated his resolve in overcoming these constraints and makes our industry more competitive. Since India has already missed out on the earlier waves of industrial growth reducing the contribution of Indian industry to less than 15% of GDP, so we can’t afford to miss this wave as this will generate more employment and capital investment. While outlining his resolve to revive small and medium industry in Amritsar, he said that these are serious issues to be deliberated and people should be aware that who is the right candidate to take-up these serious issues and work towards resolving it.
Speaking on the same occasion Sh. Bikramjit Singh Majithia underlined the need to put together the resources of centre as well as state in the development of this region and by electing Sh. Jaitley from Amritsar whose understanding about industry’s requirements is thorough can lead to the same government in centre and state thus bringing more resources here for development.
