Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Badal today reiterated that there is no shortage of grants for the overall developmental and all the works will be done on a priority basis. The Finance Minister was addressing a gathering of local residents in Improvement Trust office where K. K. Aggarwal formally took over Chairman of the Improvement Trust.Finance Minister also handed over a cheque of Rs 8.63 crore to the newly appointed chairman for different developmental works of the city.In his speech K.K. Agrawal thanked the Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh and Finance Minister Manpreet Singh for assigning the new task of chairmanship of the Improvement Trust. Aggarwal said that he would perform his duty with integrity and honesty. He also stated that no stone would be left unturned for the overall development of the city.Later the Finance Minister said that all the issues pertaining to the colonies under the Improvement Trust will be resolved on a priority basis. He pointed out said that a railway bridge would also be constructed at a cost of Rs 95 crore at five gates near Sanjay Nagar in Bathinda.
Talking about the developmental works initiated in the city of Bathinda, the Finance Minister said that the construction of the new bus stand, which will cost Rs 45 crore near Bibiwala Chowk would start soon. He said that to solve the problem of traffic in the city, a multistory parking would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 30 crores. He also said that the unfinished work of Ring Road connecting the Barnala-Mansa Road in Bathinda would be completed soon at a cost of Rs. 45 crore.Later the minister also interacted with the arthiyas of the local grain market during his visit to the grain market.
