Addressing business heads, entrepreneurs on 40th anniversary celebrations of Ludhiana Management Association in Ludhiana today, Governor Acharya Devvrat said that natural farming was the only available alternative for fertilizers based farming in Punjab, Haryana and all over the country as the present crop practices were poisoning the soil and as a ewsult affecting health of people.He said environment, water and diseases were three important issues, in Punjab and the world, at large, which could be resolved with active participation and involvement of all the stakeholders. He said there three issues were challenges to the society and future of civilizations on earth.The Governor said that commerce and industry played an important role in strengthening the economy of the country and generating employment. He lauded efforts of business class for running charity projects for welfare of the humanity.Successful businessmen, entrepreneurs and persons running charity projects were honoured by the Governor. Gurbadhan Singh, a progressive farmer from Taran Taran who creates awareness in Punjab to stop stubble burning was awarded with a cheque of Rs. 2 lakh.K.S. Dhaliwal, a businessman from United Kingdom was awarded for his charity projects in Punjab for cancer patients.President, Ludhiana Management Association Kamal Wadhera welcomed the Governor and senior Vice President Sandip Kapur thanked the Chief Guest.O.S.D. Dr. Rajender Vidya Lamkar was also present on the occasion.
