JEE Main 2019 : Check Complete Exam Details

JEE Main 2019 January Session exam is scheduled from 6th January to 20th January 2019. The registration process is over now and the admit card will be released on 17th December 2018. The exam will be conducted in online CBT mode.As per the announcement made by HRD Ministry this year,  JEE Main from now onwards will be conducted twice every year in online CBT mode. NTA has taken the responsibility of conducting this entrance test. For online mode exam, candidates can book their slots.JEE Main is national level entrance test organized every year to provide admission into B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch and B.Plan programmes. Candidates have to qualify the entrance test to get admission into various renowned institutions situated in the country. 

Candidates can check the complete exam pattern of JEE Main 2019 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 below:

Exam mode: Paper 1 for B.Tech/B.E will be held from 6th to 20th January 2019 through online mode. Whereas, Paper 2 for B.Arch and B.Plan will be held on 8th January 2019 by offline mode.

Type of Questions: JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 will be of objective type and the Drawing test of Paper 2 will be of subjective type.

Number of questions: Paper 1 will contain total of 90 questions and Paper 2 will contain total of 82 questions.

Time Duration: The time duration of the paper will be of three hours. 

Language Medium: The Paper will be available in Hindi, English and Gujarati medium.

Exam Shifts: Paper 1 will be organized in two sittings – 9:30AM to 12:30PM and 2:30PM to 5:30PM. Paper 2 will be held in one shift only.

Marking Scheme: Paper 1 will be of total 360 marks and Paper 2 will be of 390 marks. For each correct answer, +4 marks will be awarded. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 

Syllabus: JEE Main 2019 Syllabus will contain topics from 11th and 12th level from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Syllabus will be from ICSE, CBSE and other state boards. Paper 2 Syllabus will contain questions from mathematics, aptitude and drawing section. 

Candidates must go through the complete exam pattern and syllabus of JEE Main 2019 before starting their preparation. The detailed syllabus can be checked by the students from the official website of NTA. the result will be released on 31st January 2019.
