Sakshi Sawhney, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Dev.), Bathinda presided over the District Consultative Committee meeting at the Zila Parishid Complex, the ADC Dev. office, Bathinda.The meeting aims at taking care of the credit needs of all segments of the society with main emphasis on agriculture sector.Shri Lajpat Rai Goyal, the Chief Manger, Lead Bank, Bathinda welcome the ADC Madam and all officers of the different banks, participated in the meeting. Shri Goyal, while presenting the agenda of the meeting said that all the banks in the district have achieved 96% target in the Priority Sector segment. Shri Goyal also informed the house that we have also achieved 89% target in agriculture sector, which plays a significant role in the overall socio-economic development of the country.
Madam Sakshi Sawhney, the ADC ( Dev.) also stressed upon the need as well as handholding for loans under the Stand Up India and PMEGP schemes, side by side loans under Micro finance to self help groups under the NRLM and NULM loan to women entrepreneurs, minority community and other weaker section for the overall development of the district. She advised the bankers on timely disbursal of loan to genuine beneficiaries. The ADC ( Dev.) also advised the officers to provide financial assistance in a big way to the women entrepreneurs in the District.Also present on the occasion are Shri Raghubir Singh, District Lead Officer, Jasbir Singh, Director, SBI RSETI, and Naresh Rupana, Deputy Manager, Lead Bank office, Sh Mandeep Punia, NRLM and other senior officers from banks and other officers, Bathinda.
