To review and streamline the functioning of revenue department, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar today chaired a meeting of the revenue officers and field functionaries.The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Arvind Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Krishan Lal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Subhash Dogra Assistant Commissioner Development, Noor Alam besides SDMs, and all Tehsildars were present.Threadbare discussions were held on issues like preparation of Patwar halqa wise Jamabandies during last six month, status of pendency of mutation including acquired land for road and other projects, detail of village wise changes noticed while conducting Girdawari inspections during Rabi 2018, detail of availability of stationary including Girdawari register/ Jamabandies/ Fard partaal etc, eviction of encroachment expunging of illegal entries for State/ Kahcharai/ Common/ Forest land etc, from State/Kahcharai/ Common/ Forest land etc, Submission of Fard Raftar Girdawari of kharief 2018, details of inspections of revenue records conducted by the revenue officers during Rabi 2018, Progress with respect to preparation of revenue papers for land acquisition for various projects, verification, authentication of acquaintance rolls, serving of summons issued from the courts of DC, ADC and ACR etc.The DC inquired about the status of writing of Jamabandis,Girdawaries, attestation of pending mutations, removal of encroachments from State land and filling of annual property statements by the officials of the department.The DC directed the Revenue officers to speed up the process of writing of Jamabandies to meet the set targets well in time. He further directed to attest the inheritance and other mutations within the stipulated time as prescribed under PSGA as also clear the mutations pertaining to other departments where final award stands issued by the concerned land acquisition collectors.The DC also reviewed the progress on removal of encroachment from state/Kacharai/common land. He further directed to keep strict vigil to prevent encroachment on highways and other roads in and around the towns.Meanwhile, the SDMs and Tehsildars were asked to furnish the list of calamity relief cases of their respective jurisdictions for clearance.
