The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who is also National Conference Working President, has asked his party leaders to reach out to workers and directed NC ministers to hold public hearings.A spokesman of NC said Omar has directed party ministers to be available at party headquarters both at Srinagar and Jammu to address the public issues.
He said the roaster for ministers to be available at party headquarters at SK Bhawan, Jammu for February has been issued. “Similar roaster shall be issued for the NC minister for party headquarters at Nawa-i-Subh after the offices move to Srinagar during summer”.He said CM has asked Minister for Planning and Labour and Employment Ajay Sadhotra to hold public hearing at SK Bhawan, Jammu from 2 pm to 5 pm on February 7. “Similarly, Minister for Finance and Ladakh Affairs Abdul Rahim Rather will meet the people from 3.30 pm to 6 pm on February 8, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Industries and Commerce Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo will be available at party headquarters from 2 pm to 5 pm on February 9”.
He further said Minister of State (IC) Science & Technology and Information Technology Feroz Ahmad Khan will hold public hearing on February 15 from 3.30 pm to 6 pm. “Minister for Social Welfare Sakina Itoo will be available on February 18 from 2 pm to 5 PM, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Ali Mohammed Sagar on February 19, Minister for Higher Education Mohammed Akbar Lone on February 20, Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution & Transport Chowdhary Mohammed Ramzan on February 21, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah on February 22, Minister of State (IC) Animal & Sheep Husbandry Nazir Ahmed Khan on February 23 and Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology Mian Altaf Ahmed on February 26 from 2 pm to 5 pm.
