Batamaloo residents up arms against PWD for not macadamizing damaged roads

The residents of Ziyarat Batamaloo and its adjoining areas Kashi Mohalla, Diyar Wani  Batamaloo upto UNANI hospital up arms against the Public Works department (PWD) for not macadamizing their damaged road.Residents said that the department have not macadamised the road since 2014 in some area of Batamaloo due to which people face lot of problems”.They said that the department has done lot of work in different areas of Batamaloo but they left some parts without macadmising.The residents added that due to uneven surface and potholes, several vehicles have been damaged. “During rains, the whole stretch turns into mud and we face problems to even venture out of our homes. We make a fervent appeal to minister for roads and buildings to look into the matter and direct the concerned authorities to undertake repairs of the road at the earliest, but nothing happen so far”, they said.They also said dust generated by passing vehicles is creating problems for the children and elderly. “It’s more troublesome for sick and people having respiratory problems”, they added.
