CGC Jhanjeri Dominates IKG PTU’s MERIT LISTS

Maintaining their objective of “Academic Excellence & Quality Placements”, the students of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri brought laurels to the college by capturing a record number of 124 positions in the Merit Lists of IKG Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar for the session Nov 2017. The list includes 33 students of B.Com, 29 of Fashion Technology, 24 of Agriculture and others from BBA, BCA and B.Tech. Adding another feather to the cap of CGC Jhanjeri, six students have captured first position in the University. They include Abhishek Judge of B.Com, Vishal Sharma (1st Semester), Shubham (1st Sem), Sanah (5th Sem) of Fashion Technology, Vijay Singh of Civil Engg. and Shivendra Patel of ECE. Sanah created a record in PTU by scoring an SG PA of 10 out of 10.

Congratulating the students and their teachers for this excellent performance, S.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal President CGC announced that all the students standing first in PTU will be awarded laptops and others in the Merit Lists will be given cash prizes. Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General said that the students of CGC Jhanjeri have been creating records in the IKG PTU in the past also by capturing highest number of Merit List positions in the entire state of Punjab. He revealed that all this is due to the personal attention provided by the teachers to every student wherein extra classes are arranged for meritorious students to sharpen their capabilities. Dr.  Bansal added that an excellent academic performance coupled with the keen interest in various extracurricular activities results in an overall personality growth of a student which ultimately helps him in his placement in leading companies.
