Strongly condemning the crushing of yet another youth by armed forces, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that forces with each passing day provide an ample proof of enforcing the much hyped “ceasefire” by Delhi.Addressing the mourners on telephone, Geelani, according to a statement issued to GNS, said that forces have invented a new method of “genocide” of Kashmiri youth. “Fed up of bullets and pellets, now the Indian rulers have started crushing us under their heavy vehicles,” he said.He said that in such a suffocating environment no Kashmiri is safe, no individual can breathe easily courtesy: “Indian forced occupation and class of power hungry local henchmen, who can massacre the whole nation to remain in power”.“India’s claim to be a big democracy is nothing but eyewash. It is dreaming as an upcoming economic and business attraction, but is actually an aggressor who with its arrogance and selfishness threatens its neighbours and those whom it has occupied forcibly,” Geelani said.He said that India is the largest purchaser of weapons and with its military might has become a “dreaded monster” who engulfs humans each and every day. “Filling of graveyards by our budding youth is alarming and words fail to pay tributes and condole their bereaved families,” he said.
Hurriyat (G) chairman added, “As a nation, we have a huge responsibility to look after these families which are shattered to the maximum. Locals especially well off people have a moral and religious obligation to take care of these families on priority basis so that they are not forced to any uncivilized act to feed their belly.”“We will InshaAllah get rid of Indian forced slavery, but only pre-condition is that we whole heartedly and unanimously pursue the cause of the freedom with utmost determination, discipline, dedication and unity,” he added.Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) leader Bashir Ahmad Qureshi on the directions of Geelani attended the funeral of the deceased, the statement said.Meanwhile, Hurriyat (G) has condemned what it termed as highhandedness of the task force in Main Market Anantnag, “wherein they thrashed dozens of common people including Sumo Drivers Association President Mohammad Ashraf”.“This hooliganism and barbarism by the men in uniform has proved beyond doubt that this piece of land is ruled and governed by armed personnel and they have license to kill or harm anybody without any accountability or professional constrains,” the amalgam said.Hurriyat (G) said that “these cowardly acts of Task Force and their puppets is reminding us of the notorious Ikhwan era, when common and respectable citizens were humiliated and torched in broad-day-light. But time has proved that they vanished like an air bubble by those who were patronizing and using them”. (GNS)
