DDC Kulgam reviews status of developmental projects under district Sector

District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Sajad Hussain today convened a meeting of all district and sectoral officers to review the progress in implementation of various developmental projects and schemes in the district sector. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Executive Engineers from concerned departments, CEO, CMO, District and Sectoral officers were present in the meeting.The meeting also held threadbare discussions on ongoing projects under district sector in various departments.Under Education sector the meeting was informed that 13 ongoing works being executed at an estimated cost of 13.52 lakhs where eleven new works have been identified which be completed in current financial year.Under health sector a no of projects are under execution including Sub centres Yarikha, allopathic dispensary Ahmadabad, SC Ladgoo, Begam, waripora, PHC Waltengo, Chowgam is going in full swing.Under PHE sector, a no of WSS are under execution including Pahloo-Kilam, Razloo-Kanchloo, Yaripora, Srandoo, Brazloo Tangen are targets to be completed this year the meeting was informed. The DDC directed the concerned to complete all the ongoing developmental projects in a time-bound manner. He impressed upon the officers to work in coordination for timely completion of all pending works in the district. He also directed the executing agencies to speed up the tendering process for new projects.Under R&B sector the meeting was apprised that an amount of Rs 1.5 Cr is being spent on different schemes while some prestigious projects including Finance Complex, Conference hall, & IPD Bloch of DH are at final stage of completion.The DDC called on the officers to ensure expeditious execution of developmental works to extend desired benefits to the people. He asked them to keep a strict check over quality of works, adding that efforts should be made to create sustainable assets catering to area-specific developmental needs. He further enjoyed upon the engineers to complete the process of estimations following by tendering in a month.
