279 cases disposed off during Lok Adalat at Kathua

National Lok Adalat was held in the premises of District Court Complex Kathua under the chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kathua, Sanjeev Gupta.Three benches were constituted to settle down the cases in Lok Adalat. First bench was comprised of Pr. District & Sessions Judge Kathua, Sanjeev Gupta and Chief Judicial Magistrate Kathua, Amarjeet Singh Langeh. Second bench was comprised of Additional District & Sessions Judge Kathua, Sikander Azam Choudhary and Special Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Sunil Sangra whereas third bench was comprised of District Mobile Magistrate Kathua, Munish Kumar Manhas and Retainer lawyer DLSA Kathua, Nidhi Suman.Cases pertaining to Criminal Compoundable cases, MACT cases, Bank cases, Labour cases, Revenue and civil cases were taken up in the Lok Adalat. Compensation worth Rs 37, 10,000 was awarded in the MACT cases, and a recovery of Rs 15, 80,849 was also passed in favour of the Banks. Compound money of Rupees worth Rs127000 was also realized on the spot. Total Number of 406 cases were taken up out which 279 cases were disposed off/ settled.
