Baramulla Polytechnic College building to be completed soon : Priya Sethi

The Minister of State for Technical education Priya Sethi informed the house that the construction work of the Baramulla Polytechnic College is likely to be completed soon and it would be accordingly shifted from the present rented building.Replying to the question raised by Mohammad Muzaffar Parray, the Minister said that the Polytechnic College Baramulla is being constructed under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme "Sub-Mission on Polytechnics under Coordinated Action for Skill Development" at an approved cost of Rs 13.00 crore against which an expenditure of  Rs 12.02 crore stands incurred till date.She informed that 80 percent of the work has been completed. “The main building, workshop block including finishing and electrification work has been completed, while the sanitary works are in progress,” she said.She said that Institutional structure of J&K, Skill Development Mission corresponding to National Skill Development Mission has been created by the state.Replying to the supplementary question raised by Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo, the Minister said that the construction work of polytechnic college Kishtwar would be completed by end of 2019.Pardeep Sharma also raised the supplementary question on the main question.
