Jai Ram Thakur announces commencement of Help Desk Service of State Pollution Control Board

Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur today announced the commencement of Help Desk Service of H.P. State Pollution Control Board to facilitate industries and public from 1st February, 2018. This facility would be provided at 18 locations across the State which includes Head Office, Regional Offices and Regional Labs.He said that in pursuance of directions to make 100 days plan for all departments, H.P. State Pollution Control Board had prepared its 100 days plan and this service is one of the important initiatives of this target. Suggestions would be invited from all stakeholders including public to improve the present infrastructure and betterment of information, education and communication about pollution and various environmental issues. This service will help to bring transparency in the works of the board and will also curb the corruption in the system.

Chief Minister said that all the suggestions from stakeholders would be reviewed by State Level Monitoring Committee to select best suggestions. he people with best suggestions will be appreciated and awarded on 25th January and 15th April every year. These suggestions would also be implemented.

Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Smt. Manisha Nanda, who is also the Chairperson of H.P. State Pollution Control Board said that this service would address the queries of all stakeholders to develop and implement a better mechanism to create a healthy environment.Member Secretary H.P. State Pollution Control Board Dr. Raj Krishan Pruthi said that this Help Desk Service will provide a great help to the general public and assistance to solve the various challenges in Industrial sector. There shall be one suggestion box at every help desk service centre. The staffs at Help Desk Centres are properly trained and competent to resolve the problems of people.He said that people can also send their suggestions through e-mail.
