Despite Extremely cold weather in Kargil as a parts of the country the 69th Republic Day was celebrated with pomp gaiety and patriotic fervor here at Sankoo Sub Division of Kargil J&K on Friday.In this regard was held at mini stadium Ground Sankoo the Sub Divisional Megistrate Sankoo Shri Ghulam Mouhadin Wani(KAS) hoisted national flag and took salute at an impressive parade where in J&K Police, Government and private school contingent participated.Addressing the gathering Shri Ghulam Mouhadin Wani greeted the people on the auspicious occasion and paid rich tribute to great martyr who laid down their lives in the freedom struggle.He also lauded role of the armed forces and security personal for keeping the country safe and secure from external aggression and internal disruptions.He also appreciates to Nono Ajaz Hussain who got 1st Position in 12th class from whole district kargil.various cultural programmes were also presented by different schools childrens.Other Eminent dignitaries were includes on the Republic day Block Development Officer Sankoo,Block Medical Officer,Tehsildar,Naib Tehsildar,Deputy Chief Education Officer Zonal Education Officer,Assistant Executive Engineer Suru valley Division Sankoo,Councillor Sankoo Aga Syeed Abass Rizvi,and senior Citizens were also present on the occasion.Later the chief guest distributed Prizes amongst the participant.
