A delegation of Muslim Rastriya Manch, Himachal Pradesh called on Governor Acharya Devvrat at Rajbhavan, today and presented a memorandum demanding strict action against the culprits involved in destroying religious book placed in a mosque at Melayo village in Sirmour district.K.D. Himachali, Convener of Muslim Rastriya Manch, Himachal Pradesh said that Himachal Pradesh has been known as a peaceful state where people of all communities have cordial relations and live with a sense of brotherhood. He said strict action should be taken against culprits in this case so that such incidents were not repeated in future, anywhere in the state. The Manch also presented a memoredum to the Prime Minister through the Governor for welfare of Muslim community. It demands, strict law on Triple Talak to be passed by the Parliament. They also demanded in the memorandum that all pending cases should be tried as per the new law to be enacted by the Parliament and compensation to the victim be given as per the new law.
