The first batch of pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra- 2017 was given a warm welcome by the District Administration and prominent citizens of the district near Kali Mata Mandir, Udhampur this morning.DDC Niraj Kumar DIG Udhampur Reasi Range Virender Sharma,, SSP Rayees Bhatt , ADC Avny Lavasa , ASP Faizal Qureshi, CPO Ashok Khajuria, DFO SF Dr.Rajan Singh, DIO NIC Anil Sharma, DIO Esha Chib, ARTO Rajesh Gupta besides prominent citizens were also present on the occasion. A large number of people along with the district officers gave a rousing reception to the first batch of 2280 yatries. Pertinently, the District administration has established a total of 30 transit camps and 23 langars at various places in the district for the yatries.Besides, Control rooms, Enquiry counters, Helplines have also been established for the convenience of yatries, informed the DDC.Elaborate security arrangements have also been put in place for the safety and security of the yatries, added the DDC.
