Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik Friday said that Kashmir has been turned into a killing field where Indian occupational forces are killing humans at will and no one among human community seems to bother or feel pain.He said that tyrants and their stooges should remember that according to the law of retribution they are bound to taste the fruits of their crimes against humanity. Peace and stability are subservient to the resolution of disputes and issue as Peace cannot be established in vacuum. United Nations as a responsible forum has to rise above its lip servicing and play its role in resolving long pending disputes like Jammu Kashmir and Palestine.According to a statement issued to KNS, Yasin Malik had to go underground form yesterday evening as police was in pursuit to arrest him and bar him from reaching Chrar I shahreef. Police already have arrested JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and shifted him to police station Parimpora. To ensure today’s Public Jalsa, Yasin sahib reached Chrar I Shareef during night hours and observed Shab I Qader at the famous shrine.After Friday prayers, JKLF chairman addressed thousands of people who gathered to hear him outside the shrine.
In his address, JKLF chairman said that he had to go in hiding in order to reach here because so-called rulers have almost imposed a martial law in Kashmir where no political and even religious activity is being allowed .he said that today is Jumat ul vida and Muslims are duty bound to reach Jamia Masjid and other bigger places of worship and participate in Friday prayers but PDP led regime implementing RSS agenda has chosen to ban even Friday congregations and has imposed curfew in most parts of Kashmir including Jamia masjid Srinagar. This is enough evidence of PDP led ruling regime being anti-Muslim and anti-Kashmir, added Yasin Malik.He said that Kashmir has been turned into a killing field where on daily basis young and old are being killed with impunity by occupational forces and no one among the human community seem to feel any regret on this killing spree.JKLF chairman said that Indian occupation using its military and police might first unleash an ugly oppression against Kashmiri youth who were in peaceful political struggle. Youth in peaceful movement were subjected to torture, arrested, humiliated with their families and pushed to the wall in such a manner that they had no choice but to opt to armed mode of resistance and now same young boys are being targeted and killed with impunity.
He said that during 2016 uprising against illegal occupation, more than 150 young ones were killed, more than ten thousands were blinded and thousands maimed and imprisoned .this genocide is still continuing as Indian might has not succeeded in breaking the will of common Kashmiris who have decided to resist every ugly oppression of India and its stooges with valor and passion.He said that to break the will of people. Indian occupation has enhanced its program of terrorizing common masses and we are witnessing terrorists in uniform attacking villages, beating men, women, children and elderly, breaking their houses and households and putting their vehicles on fire. This terrorism sponsored by Indian leadership and abetted by PDP led regime has been going on from last many months but oppressors must know that these old ploys of terrorism will also fail in breaking our will and valor.He said that thousands of young and old Kashmiris are languishing in police stations and jails. Stressing upon the need for an early release of all Kashmiri prisoners from jails, Yasin Malik said that civilized countries and nations don’t cage their opponents and suppress their voices and if India and its Kashmiri stooges claim to be democrats, they should open the doors of jails and let free those who have been languishing in jails from many years.
He said that on Eid days previously it was a common practice to release prisoners but today PDP rulers under the influence of RSS Hindu fanaticism instead of releasing inmates are actually trying to arrest and house arrest more people and fill jails and police stations which is highly condemnable, said JKLF chairman .Welcoming the recent statement by UNO secretary general in which he had emphasized on the need of resolving Kashmiri issue on priority, JKLF chairman said that United Nations is a forum that despite its lacks and shortcomings still stands as a symbol of international peace and a forum for resolution of disputes. Its role visa vise the dispute of Jammu Kashmir is an established fact and cutting down or denying this role will bring only disaster to the region.Yasin Malik said that this forum was created to work for resolution of those disputes that are constantly threatening the peace and stability of the world but it is bitter truth that this forum has till date failed to deliver justice to the oppressed nations especially the nation of Jammu Kashmir.
He said that the issues of Jammu Kashmir and Palestine are two glaring examples of the failure of UNO as the people of these two nations are endeavoring hardships from last 70 years and this forum has failed to save them from tyrants and oppressors. United Nations is a forum that is meant to raise its voice for oppressed people and it has to change its habit of obeying the orders of states and nations. We are hopeful that United Nations will stand for the oppressed and voice less people, will rise above its lip servicing and play its vital and important role for the resolution of all disputes confronting the international peace including the dispute on Jammu Kashmir and Palestine, asserted Yasin Malik.Statements’ are welcome but should follow with concrete and practical steps towards the resolution of these long pending disputes, added JKLF chairman. A resolution prepared by the united resistance leadership was read out before thousands of people who passed it by raising slogans in favor of Azadi, martyrs, leadership unity and against illegal Indian occupation.At the end of Jalsa JKLF chairman were given a rousing farewell by the people present in the Jalsa. Thousands of people especially the youth enthusiastically gathered around Yasin sahib took him on their shoulders and raised passionate slogans in favor of freedom and unity. Meanwhile JKLF senior leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt today addressed people at Trehgam Kupwara. In his address JKLF leader strongly condemned the ongoing oppression in Kashmir. He said that unity and oneness were keys to success and we all should remain vigilant and maintain unity among our ranks and keep on resisting the sinister designs of India. (KNS)
