Punjab Approves Projects For Amritsar Worth Rs. 127 Crore: Joshi

The Punjab Government has sanctioned two prestigious projects worth Rs.127 crore for Amritsar. Disclosing this here today Anil Joshi, Minister for Local Bodies, Punjab, said that the projects of Solid Waste Management and Internal Circular Road Management have been approved by the Punjab Government which would be completed with the cost of Rs.98 crore and Rs.29 crore respectively.The Minister further said that first installment of Rs.61.13 crore has already been released for Bus Rapid Transport Project at Amritsar and Rs.11.13 crore for Sewerage work of Amritsar’s South East zone. He reiterated that the holy city Amritsar would don new look with the completion of these projects. He said that Punjab Government is committed for over all development of Amritsar.Joshi said that approach roads under Elevated Road Project, GT road-Tarn taran link road and Sewerage work with the cost of Rs.74 crore are under consideration.
