Air India SATS Airport Services Pvt. Ltd. (AISATS), in association with Unnathi Protection of Human Rights Society, launched a three month flagship training program on skill development in the field of food processing to empower rural, unemployed women of Devanahalli, Bengaluru. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guests, Justice C.G. Hungund, Hon'ble  Member of  Karnataka State Human Rights Commission, Bengaluru and Mr. Hoa Kai Ee, Hon’ble Senior Vice President, AISATS BLR & IXE.Mr. Pillamunishyamppa, Hon’ble M.L.A., Devanahalli Constituency presided over the event along with other esteemed guests such as Mr. G.E. Narayana Gowda, Hon’ble District Youth Co-ordinator, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangthan (NYKS), Mr. Narayana Swamy .D, Director of  Canara Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute, Chikkaballapur and Mr. G.V. Vishwanatha, Founder President, Unnathi Protection of Human Rights Society(R), Gudibande.Spanned over three months, Skill Upgradation Training Program (SUTP) is a comprehensive, specialized skill development workshop aimed at engaging  fifty unemployed and underprivileged women  in income generating activities for a sustainable livelihood, thus fostering socio-economic independence. 

The project, initiated by AISATS, will be executed by Unnathi Protection of Human Rights Society with the help of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Bangalore Rural District, Govt. of India. Nehru Yuva Kendra will also provide all the professional training and supervision required for skill development in food processing, preservation and marketing of fortified instant food mix, cereals, spices, pickles and milk products, and certificates of course completion.Mr. Mike Chew, CEO, AISATS said, “AISATS is committed towards making a meaningful contribution to our society and is proud to initiate a skill development program aimed at empowering women. We are thankful for the support that we have received from the Bengaluru community and we will continue to associate ourselves with such noble causes in the future.”As a socially responsible company, AISATS has ardently supported various social causes and has previously aided the repair and renovation of Government Pre University College (High School Division) at Vijayapura, Bengaluru.
