Govt. committed for development of all areas with equal priority: CM

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that State government was committed for equal and balanced development of the State. He said that his Government didn’t believe in discrimination and all areas were being given equal priority for development.Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting at Bhanjararoo in Churah constituency of Chamba district today.Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the Congress Government believes in unity and persity and no body could pide us on the narrow lines of religion, region and language. He said that some people wanted to pide the people of the State to gain political mileage and to fulfil their selfish motives but their nefarious designs would never be fulfilled. He said that successive congress governments had always ensured tremendous development of all the areas of the State whereas the BJP governments had always put speed breakers in the path of development. The Chief Minister said that he had always considered entire Himachal Pradesh as his home and he had been extensively touring the entire State to meet the people, know their developmental expectations and redress their grievances on the spot. 

This had also helped in monitoring the progress and giving pace to the ongoing developmental projects in the State. He said that remote areas were being given preference in the matter of development and he had been constantly touring remote and tribal areas of the State.Earlier, he laid foundation stones of Shakti Nallah bridge on Tissa-Sai Kothi-Dhajja Koti road to be constructed at a cost of Rs.  135.36 lakh, Dhanju Nallah bridge over Tissa-Satyas road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 79.23 lakh and Pangola Nallah bridge to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 76.26 lakh. He also dedicated BDO office at Tissa to the people of the area completed at a cost of Rs. 1.78 lakh. The Chief Minister announced to open new government primary schools at Manjini and Chhampa in in Gram Panchayat Jungra, Dand and Plan in GP Choli. He announced to upgrade government primary schools Pukhtala in GP Guari to middle schools and also accepted the demand of the people of the area to open new primary schools at Baida in GP Buila, Sadialu in GP Chee, Mallond in GP Salwan and Jeori in GP Kuther and Budhera. He announced to upgrade government primary schools Baidka in GP Bairagarh, Jeori in GP Chada, Halod in GP Dullar, Sudla in GP Banaltar, Chich in GP Chich, Tatlog in GP Khushnagari, Dhand in GP Kalhel and Tikkari in GP Tikkari as middle schools. He announced to upgrade middle schools Sanwal and Bhatka to High schools and Rajnagar, Moua, Thalli, Sai Kothi and Sandhi middle schools to government senior secondary schools. 

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that considering the demand of the people of the area, the government would explore possibilities of opening Primary Health Centres at Tungala and Khushnagari. 

He also assured to consider the demands of opening veterinary dispensaries at Sanwal, Jeori and Ayurvedic dispensaries at Kala, Pehali and Shaleela Bari. He directed the Public Works department to prepare detailed project report for the Shukrali bridge. A cheque of Rs. 63,000 was presented to the Chief Minister on this occasion towards Chief Minister's Relief Fund by Shri Kamal Kishore Mahajan, Chairman, BDC, Tissa. Smt. Asha Kumari, MLA thanked the Chief Minister for his three-day visit to the remote areas of the district and laying foundation stone and dedication of various major projects. She said that the speedy development of the district had been ensured ever since the Congress government had been formed in the State. Shri Chander Kumar, former Member of Parliament said that schemes of the Government of India like RTI, MNREGA, Right to Education and Food Security were historic which had benefited all sections of the society and Himachal Pradesh was also implementing these schemes successfully. He said that Congress governments had always been well wisher of the people of the Chamba district and a number of educational and health institutions had been opened in the tenure of congress governments in the remotest areas of the district. Shri Surender Bhardwaj, district Congress President thanked the Chief Minister for giving priority for the welfare of the people of the district. He said that during BJP rule not even a single institute was opened. He also raised various demands of the area.Shri Dildar Ali Bhatt, Chairman, Haj Committee and Shri Shyam Lal Duggal, President, Block Congress Committee also spoke on the occasion.Shri Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Forest Minister, Shri Kewal Singh Pathania, Vice Chairman, H.P State Forest Corporation, Shri Neeraj Nayyar, President, APMC, Chamba, senior officers and prominent persons of the area were present on the occasion.
