No move to Shift ITI from Patta-Mehlog area: Chief Minister

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said there was no move by the State government to shift ITI from Patta-Mehlog area in Solan district. He said that unnecessary rumors were being spread in this regard which was totally false and baseless.While speaking to a deputation of comprising of 16 Panchayats of Patta-Mehlog area which called him here today, he said that two separate ITI’s had been sanctioned by the State Government for Patta-Mehlog area and Kuthar area in Solan District. The Government had sanctioned ITI for Patta-Mehlog area for which the process for identifying suitable land was in progress while another ITI had been sanctioned for Kuthar area.The deputation informed the Chief Minister that a section of the press along-with few local people had been spreading rumors in this entire matter. The deputation thanked the Chief Minister and requested for immediate transfer of land for the ITI Patta-Mehlog. They also requested him to visit the area to lay the foundation stone of the ITI.
