JK Literary festival organized in Delhi

Sahitya Academy and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized Two Day Jammu and Kashmir Literary Festival at Sahitya Academy Auditorium, New Delhi.Speaking on the occasion, Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Aziz Hajini  said that this is the first ever programme in the form of festival organized in collaboration with Sahitya Academy. J&K literary academy is the largest academy which has organized 600 programmes, he added.President, Sahitya Academy, Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari expressed that this Festival enlightens the rich inner Cultural, Spiritual, Historical and Experimental links that unify India’s diverse manifestations of literature. Across the barriers of Language and script, he appreciated the immense variety and complexity of our country’s literary heritage. He highlighted about "The Ramayana and Mahabharata Tradition" and on Mirza Ghalib’s World.Smt. Padma Sachdev, Eminent Dogri Writer laid special emphasis on regional languages of J&K especially Dogri, Kashmiri, Gojri and Folk Literatures as these are assets.Among others, Secretary Sahitya Academy K Srinivasrao, Principal Resident Commissioner, New Delhi R K Gupta, Chaman Lal Hakhu, Kashmiri Scholar and Convener, Kashmiri Advisory Board Sahitya Academy Mohammad Zaman Azurdah also spoke on the occasion.The Highlights of the Program were Contemporary Poetry, Fiction Writings, Literary Criticism and Translation of J&K State Languages in other Languages.
