Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmed Khan, today convened a meeting to review the progress on expansion of Jhelum flood spill channel work and land acquisition cases.Deputy Commissioners of Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama, Chief Engineer I&FC, Collector, Land Acquisition, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and other concerned attended the meeting.The meeting held threadbare discussions on resolving the land acquisition issue for expansion of the flood spill channel and the transfer of land to Irrigation and Flood Control Department.On the occasion, the Div Com directed the concerned executing agencies to expedite the process of land acquisition so that the vital projects would not be delayed and are completed at the earliest.
