Lambi , 02 Feb 2017

The akali juggernaut today made a clean sweep of Lambi with thousands of SAD workers coming out on the roads under the leadership of their president Sukhbir Singh Badal to send out a clear message that the "Kesri" flag will fly high here as well as all over the State.Accosting by thousands of two wheelers and cars, Sukhbir Badal held a massive roadshow  in favour of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal during the course of which he visited more than twenty five villages in the constituency. Villagers came out in large numbers to welcome him everywhere. Ladoos were distributed among the people at many places. Kesri flags seemed to be everywhere. Wearing his trademark white kurta pajama and sleeveless black jacket Sukhbir used a green coloured Mahindra Thar for the road show.

He acknowledged lusty slogans like "Sukhbir teri soch te pahra dayange thok ke" while standing up on the jeep and waving back to his supporters. At many places youngsters thronged him to take their selfies and shake hands with him. Amidst the cheering and bedlam the SAD president interacted with newsmen at Koliyanwali village while astride the jeep. "See the response. The people are getting ready to teach a lesson to the ahankari raja. There is a clear wave in favour of Badal Sahab. Amarinder as well as the topiwala candidate will lose their security deposits", he added. The SAD president made it clear that Badal Sahab stood for peace and communal harmony as well as development. He said while Punjabis trusted Badal Sahab to take the State forward, in Lambi there was no other choice. "Badal Sahab lives and breathes for Lambi. The people have also always reposed faith in him. This time he will win by even a larger margin", he added.
