Vasudhaiava Kutumbakm Welfare Society (VKWS), a social organization today organized a function to celebrate Republic Day in which Principal Secretary School Education, Shaleen Kabra, was the chief guest.Director School Education Jammu, Babila Rakwal, Chief Education Officer, Ram Pal, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Suraj Singh Rathore, working president of VKWS Ruby Sharma and other members from the Society, teachers and students were also present on the occasion.The function started with unfurling of National Flag by Shaleen Kabra which was followed by a cultural bonanza comprising patriotic songs and folk dances presented by the students of different schools run by VKWS.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Secretary School Education highlighted the significance of Republic Day saying India being the largest democracy in the world occupies a special place across the globe. He exhorted upon the students to develop love and passion for constitution and the country as they are the ones who have to keep alive the legacy by becoming responsible citizens.He complimented VKWS for providing quality education to the children belonging to the marginalized sections of the society. He also congratulated the organization for educating more than 10,000 students in past 25 years and assured full support in further carrying forward this noble cause by providing education to poor sections of the society.Shaleen Kabra appreciated the confidence, exuberance, joy and patriotic spirit demonstrated by the children in their performances.
